New Burnaby Condos and Townhomes
67Burnaby? Where is Burnaby? If you don't live in the Vancouver area of British Columbia, you probably don't know. Burnaby is one of the suburbs right outside of Vancouver. I called it a suburb but it is actually rapidly becoming more urbanized much like its more popular neighbor, Vancouver. New developments I've seen here are mostly high density residential areas although there are quite a few townhouses as well. Location-wise, Burnaby is great because of its proximity to Vancouver and the presence of the SkyTrain which makes your commute to/from work much easier. The city is actually becoming a hotbed of business as well as major companies have offices here. IBM, Telus, HSBC, Pacific Blue Cross, BCAA have offices located in this city. In terms of school, you got BCIT and Simon Fraser University, just to name a few. BC's biggest mall, the MetroTown Centre is also here. Maclean magazine has even named Burnaby as the best run city in Canada.
New Home Listing in Burnaby
Property availability changes. New developments like the properties below may not be able once you've read this article. I'll strive to keep this updated as we go on. For now, the following Burnaby new developments have available properties for those looking for a home in the Burnaby area. Would I suggest buying a home in Burnaby? Yes, is the short answer. But it really depends on your budget. In the greater Vancouver area, the Burnaby market is becoming more expensive compared to other up and coming nearby communities. Proximity to Vancouver and accessibility are of course the usual suspect as to why prices are going up. If you like single-detached homes, or more affordable townhouses then Burnaby is probably not the right area. You should probably go and look further east.

Burnaby, being the geographic center of the Metro Vancouver area, offers a good location for anyone looking for a home. Transportation is excellent as you got different options available to you. With the Skytrain, Translink buses and Highway 1, neighboring towns are easily accessible by car, train or bus. Parks, malls and good schools like BCIT and Simon Fraser University makes it very attractive for families with older kids. I think one other attraction is the view of the mountains. Depending on the type and location of your Burnaby home, you might be able to get a good view of the mountains. That for me is priceless.
